I was born in Govan, in Garmouth St. One of my earliest memories is being taken to see the smoking ruins of Govan High School.
In 1979 I started working for Glasgow Council Housing Department and ended up as a Housing Officer in Drumoyne. I worked for the Council for 13 years and then left to form my own training business. I have been training Housing staff throughout the UK for the last 31 years. I have just recently completed an SQA Level 8 which allows me to be an Assessor for Housing Qualifications. My particular interests are in Asset Management and I hope to make a good contribution to the Board whilst learning more about the Association.

I was born in Govan in Nethan Street. I attended Greenfield School where Community spirit was always at the heart of everything they did and that stuck with me throughout my life and effectively remains the value I bring to Committee. I worked as a silver service waitress and I enjoy meeting new people. I believe in the power of Community and the welfare of the tenants and how valuable their input and listening to their feedback contributes to effective leadership at Committee level. In free time I enjoy time with her family and my dog.

I work in the housing sector as a Housing Services Officer. In 2017 I graduated with a MSc in Housing Studies from the University of Glasgow and I’m currently a CIH Chartered Member. After completing my dissertation topic on social inclusion, I had a particular interest in the role of social housing providers in creating inclusive places to live where people can thrive.
