Hills Trust School – New Association Offices

The Association has, after a lengthy delay, acquired the former B listed Hillstrust School building at Golspie Street for conversion into Elderpark Housing’s new offices.

This move will both save an iconic local landmark steeped in history and enable us to bring all our staff together and to provide a more comprehensive service to our customers. There will also be space for further expansion. We will also be adding a new build extension to the rear of the building.

This project has been approved by Central Govan Action Plan Steering Group (CGAP) as a priority project for grant funding from the Townscape Heritage Initiative (Phase 2). This grant of just under £400,000 from Heritage Lottery and Historic Environment Scotland will be used for external conservation works to bring the building back, as near as is possible, to its original condition.

We are delighted that we have saved this historic building and look forward to commencing works, along with the new build development in the Spring of next year.
