No.1 Befriending Agency Open day

Elderpark Housing is very proud of our partnership with The No.1 Befriending Agency which is a social enterprise that provides free befriending services to isolated and lonely people over the age of 55. If you live alone and don’t have many visitors or calls, you may benefit from our services.

No.1 are currently offer 121 befriending which is where a volunteer can visit or call you for a friendly chat for an hour a week. We also have virtual events over zoom three times a week which  are an hour long. We offer a variety of activities at these events including art , reminiscing, live music, debates, virtual history tours and much more! We have trained volunteers who can help you set up your device/zoom account so you can connect to the events. If you do not have a device but are interested in the events, please let us know and we can see how we can support you.

So, If you would like to find out more about these services, please come along and have a chat with us over a cup of tea/coffee and cake. On Monday 6^th June, we will be at the Mary Barbour Suit, , 65 Golspie Street, G51 3AX from 12-2pm so please feel free to drop in and have a chat and see how you can benefit from befriending.
